Sonologue recently conducted a session for the Community Radio Forum at St. Pius College, in Mumbai on content and how to generate it.
The session touched upon how to think aurally, how to find a good radio story, the kind of formats a story can fit, how volunteers can conduct interviews, as well as a short introduction to field reportage. In another session, the participants were taught how to mix and edit the field reports and interviews they’d conducted in the content workshop.
Over 4 sessions, we met people from villages in rural Maharashtra, members of agricultural and even film institutes, as well as a group from a Mumbai middle school that wanted to start a youth radio station. Exciting times for community radio 🙂
